France To Try Alleged Bombers Of UTA Aircraft In Absentia
French Judge Jean-Louis Bruguiere issued two new international arrest warrents for two Libyans suspected of involvement in the September 1989 bombing of a French UTA flight over Niger in which 170 people were killed. These warrants follow four that were issued on 30 October 1991 for four other Libyans, among them a brother-in-law of Libyan leader Colonel Mu'ammar al-Qadhafi. Judge Bruguiere...
