Kuwaiti Difficult Credit Settlement Attracts Moderate Response
The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Mr. 'Ali al-Musa, said last week that under the second phase of the fast track settlement of the Difficult Credit Settlement Scheme, a total of 2,257 debtors had to repay KD343mn ($1,143mn) to the banks, but that only KD175mn ($583mn), or 51%, was actually paid, plus KD37mn ($123mn) for debt servicing.
