Qatar Approves Extensive Drilling Program
The Manager of the Qatar General Petroleum Corporation's upstream exploration and new venture development, Mr. Rashid al-Suwaidi, stated in a paper presented at an international drilling conference held in Abu Dhabi last week that Qatar has approved an ambitious new drilling program which entails the drilling of 177 new oil and gas wells in the next few years.
