Iraqi Cabinet Gives Approval For Kurdish Export Deal
The energy committee of Iraqs cabinet gave its approval on 18 May to an interim deal between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and Iraqs Ministry of Oil that would allow the former to restart oil exports. The KRG halted oil flows only a few months after exports started up, as a result of Baghdads refusal to properly compensate foreign firms developing the KRGs upstream.
