Baghdad Launches Gas Bidding Round
Iraqs Minister of Oil Husain al-Shahristani on 6 May launched an upstream bidding round for three non-associated gas fields with combined reserves of over 7.5 trillion cu ft. Data packages will be available to prequalified companies on 1 June, with license awards scheduled for 1 September, oil ministry spokesman 'Asim Jihad tells MEES.
