AMPTC Orders Two Crude Oil Tankers From Korea's Hyundai Yard

The OAPEC-sponsored Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company (AMPTC)which is jointly owned by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, the UAE, Libya,Algeria and Egypt and based in Kuwait signed a contract on 24 April with theSouth Korean shipbuilding yard, Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for theconstruction of two new Suezmax crude oil carriers, each with a capacity of153,000 dwt.
