US Navy Intercepts Iraqi Diesel Shipment
The US Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain announced on 11 May that oneof its ships in the Gulf, the USS Lake Champlain, had intercepted aHonduran-registered ship loaded with 2,850 tons of Iraqi diesel fuel. CommanderT. McCreary said in Manama last week that the `Mai' was stopped and boarded asit sailed from the Iraqi port of Khor al-Zubayr.
