Turkey Plans Crude Imports Of 20.1 Mn Tons During 1995
Turkey's state-owned refinery company, Tupras has announced that it willimport some 20.1mn tons (402,000 b/d) of crude oil during 1995 in order to copewith the country's increasing demand. Tupras General Manager Ergun Kuran said inAnkara that imports totaled 19 tons (380,000 b/d) in 1994 and that Tupras hadalready imported 8mn tons during the first five months of 1995, for which itpaid $981.2mn.
