Syria Extends Bids Deadline For Dair Al-Zur Refinery
Syria has extended the deadline for submitting bids for the construction ofthe country's third refinery the 65,000b/d plant at Dair al-Zur in Syria's oilproducing northeast from 8 August to end September (MEES, 29 May). About 25companies have reportedly prequalified for the construction contract. Syria isalso planning to upgrade its two existing refineries at Homs (104,000 b/d) andBanias (120,000 b/d).
