Saudi Government Licenses New Aluminum Smelter
The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Electricity has issued a license for theconstruction of a small aluminum smelter at Jubail at a cost of SR60mn ($16mn).The smelter, which will have a design capacity to produce 24,000 tons/year ofaluminum ingots, will be set up by the Saudi Company for Aluminum Smelting.
