Individual Claims Against Iraq Put At $15Bn
The UN Compensation Commission said in Geneva on 1 October, after a meetingof its Governing Council, that over 2.2mn individual claims have been filedagainst Iraq worth an estimated $15bn. The individual claims for warcompensation include all the expatriates in Iraq and Kuwait who left the twocountries during the occupation period, as well as those who suffered personalinjury or lost a close relative or property.
