Iraqs $18-20Bn Zubair Delays Tender To Hike Production Capacity
The consortium operating Iraqs $18-20bn Zubair oil field has delayed bidding on the contract to boost production capacity from 400,000 b/d to 800,000 b/d, an official of one of the consortium partners tells MEES. Current crude oil production at the field near Basra in southern Iraq is 250,000 b/d, the official says up from 200,000 b/d in December.
