Saudi/French Company Builds Gold Plant Under Offset Program
The Saudi-French company, Dhahab - owned 51% by Saudi interests and 49% bythe French firm Thomson - has laid the cornerstone of a new plant in Jiddah torefine 110 tons of gold annually. The company is capitalized at SR43mn ($11.5mn)and the new plant is being set up under the framework of the Saudi-French offsetprogram (MEES, 11 June 1990).
