US Treasury Lifts Sanctions Against Arab Financial Services
Arab Financial Services (AFS), the Bahrain-based travelers' cheque andpayment card company, announced on 3 February that the US Treasury's Office ofForeign Asset Control (OFAC) has removed it from a list of "SpeciallyDesignated Nationals of Libya" and that all AFS funds previously blocked inthe US had been released.
