Tourist revenues were Eœ1,771mn ($532mn), during 1992-93, a rise of only2.5% over the previous year. (In 1991-92 revenues had increased by 87%.) Afteran encouraging start during the first quarter of 1992-93, when revenues rose by34%, revenues declined in each of the following quarters as concern grew overterrorist attacks on tourists.
