Bank Results
Emirates Bank International Records 11% Increase In Profits
Dubai-based Emirates Bank International (EBI) has reported profits ofDh246.9mn ($67mn) for 1993, an 11% increase on the previous year. The rise wasdue to an increase in net interest income and a reduction in administrativeexpenses. Commission income declined in comparison with 1992. A 17.5% dividendis proposed, compared to 15% in 1992.
