UN Keeps Sanctions Against Libya In Place

The UN Security Council decided on 8 April to retain its sanctions againstLibya imposed in April 1992 in retaliation for Tripoli's refusal to turn overtwo men suspected on bombing a Pan Am jumbo jet that blew up over Lockerbie,Scotland in December 1988 killing 270 people.
