Joint Israeli-Egyptian Refinery Planned In Alexandria
The Middle East Oil Refineries (Midor), a partnership between the Israelifirm Merhav Group of Companies and an Egyptian consortium composed ofindustrialist Hussain Salam, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC)and local banks, is planning to build a $1bn export refinery near Alexandria,according to The Wall Street Journal in a report from Tel Aviv on 17 May.
