Provisions And Low Interest Rates Reduce Profits At Doha Bank
Doha Bank, the second biggest bank in Qatar, has reported a 39% fall inprofits for 1993 due to an increase in provisions and a reduction in netinterest income. Provisions, which are reported as part of general andadministrative expenses, increased to QR30.6mn in 1993 from QR17mn the previousyear. The fall in interest income reflects declining rates on the dollar....
