OPEC Basket Price Falls $0.57 To $16.86/B In August
The average spot price for the OPEC basket of seven crudes fell by $0.57/B inAugust to $16.86/B from the revised average of $17.43/B in July, according tofigures released by the OPEC Secretariat. The August average is $4.14/B belowOPEC's $21/B minimum reference price. The year to date average is $15.23/B,which is $1.10/B below last year's average.
