Nazer Inaugurates Pemref's New MTBE Unit
The Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Mr. Hisham Nazer, on14 August inaugurated the new methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) unit at thePetromin-Mobil Yanbu' Refinery Company (Pemref). The new 120,000 ton/year unitat the joint-venture export refinery was built under the refinery's olefinupgrading project which was approved in June 1990.
