Saudi/Mobil MTBE Venture Chemical Plan Moves ahead, but Financing stillnot in Place
The Arabian American Chemical Company, the joint venture between Saudiinterests and Mobil which will produce MTBE, held its inaugural shareholders'meeting in Jiddah on 28 November. The company is the first private sector MTBEventure in Saudi Arabia. It is expected to produce 880,000 tons/year of MTBE(MEES, 24 February).
