Morocco Lifts Restriction On Foreign Loans
Moroccan banks and companies are permitted to fund imports by raising loansfrom foreign financial institutions, following the issuing of new regulationson 9 June. Loans may also be arranged to fund exports by Moroccan companies. Themove is part of a series of measures to liberalize Morocco's foreign traderelations. In January the Moroccan dirham was made convertible.
