Shell Denies Upstream Talks With Iraq
A Shell spokesman said last week that there is no truth to recent press reports that his firm had held upstream talks with Iraq and that the company had reached an informal agreement with the Iraqi oil authorities that would be finalized when the sanctions are lifted. The company spokesman said that Shell had not sent anyone to Baghdad, nor did it have a representative there.
