IEA Estimates OECD Demand Down by 3.5% in 3Q 1991
The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that OECD oil demand fell by1.4mn b/d, or 3.5%, in 3Q 1991 to 36.8mn b/d as against 38.2mn b/d in 3Q 1990.The October (end-September) edition of the IEA's Oil Market Report (OMR) attributes much of the year-on-year decline to the high level of deliveries in 3Q1990 when significant secondary/tertiary stocking occurred.
