Government Sidesteps National Assembly and Raises Prices on Basic Goods
Algerian Commerce Minister Ahmad Fodil Bey has announced two sets of priceincreases on basic items. From 19 October prices of milk, cooking oil, sugar andmaize will rise by up to 200%.
