Aradet Resumes Production

The Iraq-based Arab Company for Detergent (Aradet) has resumed production ofintermediate chemicals at its Baiji plant following the repair of damageincurred during the Gulf war, according to Mr. Nuri Hamid al-'Ani, Aradet'sGeneral Manager. Mr. 'Ani said on 29 April that Aradet had resumed producingLinear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) and Toluene at rates of 50,000 tons/year and 8,000t/y respectively.
