Snamprogetti Awarded Contract for Hamra Gas Treatment Plant Field

Algeria's Sonatrach has awarded a contract to Italy's Snamprogetti for theconstruction of a natural gas treatment and recycling unit at the Hamra gasfield, located some 250 kms. south of the Hassi Messaoud oil-field. Thedevelopment of the Hamra field, which is expected to be completed in 40 months,is being undertaken jointly by Sonatrach and the Total group of France at a costof $517mn.
