KPC to Sell C. F. Braun to Halliburton

Santa Fe International Corp. (a subsidiary of the Kuwait Petroleum Corp.) andHalliburton Co. have entered into a letter of intent which provides for thelatter (or its Brown and Root subsidiary) to purchase the former's wholly-ownedengineering subsidiary C. F. Braun Inc. Final agreement on the deal is expectedto be concluded sometime in September.
