EIB Approves $54.5mn Loan for Algeria
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has agreed to lend Algeria ECU50mn($45mn) to help finance the second phase of the Mitidja West irrigation scheme,which is co-financed by the World Bank. The loan, which is repayable in 20years, is the first to be extended by EIB to Algeria under the current thirdfinancial protocol for 1988-1991, which provides for up to ECU183mn in totalcredits to Algeria...
