Iran Signs Transportation Agreements with the USSR and Bulgaria
An agreement was signed in Tehran on 8 June, at the conclusion of the 17thsession of the Soviet-Iranian joint commission, to set up a joint shippingline in the Caspian Sea. Mr. Muhammad Maded, Director-General of Iran's Portsand Shipping Organization, said that the shipping line was "a major step inexpanding economic ties with the Soviets in the Caspian Sea" and that as aresult Iran's Caspian ports...
