Fujairah to Spud First Well

The first exploratory well in the Fujairah offshore concession, granted last year to North South Resources (operator) and International Petroleum of Canada (MEES, 5 March 1984), is to be drilled soon, following encouraging seismic results. The well is likely to be drilled into the Thamama formation with a target depth of 15,000 ft.
