lFAD Lends Bangladesh $24mn
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has agreed to lend $23.6mn to Bangladesh to help expand the country's village banking scheme, which offers credit to landless farmers. The project is co-financed by the Swedish International Development Authority, the Norwegian Agency for International Development, the Ford Foundation and the Bangladesh Government.
