Libya To Eliminate Duties On Imported Goods
Libya says it will eliminate import duties on all goods (except cigarettes) as of 1 September 2005 and instead impose a 4% service import tax. The move will affect some 3,500 commodities and is seen as the latest step by Tripoli to liberalize its economy.
