Marubeni Starts Expansion And Upgrading Of Kazakstans Atyrau Refinery
Kazakstans state-owned oil and gas company KazMunaiGaz announced on 25 March that Japans Marubeni had begun reconstruction work on the Atyrau refinery. Work will cost around $310mn and take 35 months to complete, after which the capacity of the refinery will be increased from around 40,000 b/d to 90,000 b/d.
