Shaikh Maktum Issues Decree To Establish Dubai Authority ForInvestment And Development

TheRuler of Dubai, Shaikh Maktumbin Rashid al-Maktum, issued Decree No 2 of 2002 on17 March which allows for the establishment of the Dubai Authority forInvestment and Development. According to the wording of the Decree, the aim ofthe new entity is to promote Dubai as an international trade and financial hub and to attractforeign and local investment.
