Saudis Nimir Petroleum Hands Over Assets In Yemen To The Government
The private Saudi oil firm Nimir Petroleum Company on 1 January handed over its assets in Yemen to the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources, citing unprofitability. Nimir had exploration permits in blocks 16 (Qamar), 29 (South Sanau) and 33 (al-Furt), and was producing in block 4 (West Iyad) in the Shabwa region.
