Gulf Poised For 2011 Hike In Bond Issues
The MENA region and particularly the GCC saw robust debt market activity this year, with new bond issues edging close to the high levels seen in 2009. MEES soundings indicate that 2011 will be as good if not better, as long as the European debt crisis does not spiral out of control, and barring any other as yet unforeseen setbacks.
Issuance next year will be driven by refinancing...
