PUK Operates Topping Plant In Iraqi Kurdistan

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has informed MEESthat it has managed to produce and process limited volumes of oil for internaluse in northern Iraq. The PUK, one of the two leading political parties inIraqi Kurdistan, is producing crude from two wells at the Taq-Taq area. Thewells were drilled by the Iraqi authorities but are now managed and operated byKurdish staff.
