Morocco Reports 1997 Crude Imports Of 6Mn Tons Worth $865Mn
Morocco's Ministry of Energy and Mines reported on 30 December that the countryimported 6.02mn tons of crude oil (120,400 b/d) during 1997, an 11% increase over 1996imports of 5.36mn tons (107,200 b/d). The cost of crude imports was put at $865.2mn for1997 as compared with $819mn in 1996. Of total crude imports, 4.54mn tons went to theSamir refinery in Mohammedia, while 1.48mn tons were supplied...
