Algerian Insurgents Damage Domestic Gas Pipeline
Islamist fundamentalist insurgents have blown up a section of the Hassi R'Mel-Cap Djinet domestic gas pipeline, Algerian newspapers reported on 3 July, disrupting supplies to villages and factories in the Tizi-Ouzou region some 90 kms. northeast of Algiers. The state-owned power company Sonelgaz has taken steps to repair the damage. This is the third time that insurgents have bombed domestic gaslines...
