Saudi Government Awards Power Contracts For $1.65Bn
The Saudi Arabian Government has awarded two contracts totaling SR6.2bn($1.653bn) for the construction of a new power plant in the Kingdom. The firstcontract, worth SR5.1bn ($1.36bn), went to General Electric Corp. of the US andthe second, for SR1.1bn ($293mn), was won by Reyrolle, part of Britain'sRolls-Royce Industrial Power Group.
