Big Boost in Gas Production in April
Egypt will witness a big boost in gas production in April by Bapetco (EGPC-Shell)and Petrobel (EGPC-IEOC). Effective 4 April, production by Bapetco from theBed-2 and Bed-3 gas fields in the Western Desert, whose reserves are currentlyestimated at about 2 trillion cu. ft., will rise from the present level of some150mn cu. ft./d to 225-250mn cu. ft./d.
