Iran Starts Work on Gas Plant in Sarkhun
Iran has started site construction work on a new natural gas processing plantat Sarkhun near the port city of Bandar Abbas in the southeastern province ofHormozgan. A ground-breaking ceremony took place at the site in early May. TheSarkhun gas field lies some 30 kms. northeast of Bandar Abbas and currentlysupplies fuel to the city's power station.
