Mitsui Wins Contract for Adgas LNG Tankers
The Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (Adgas) has awarded Mitsui Engineeringand Shipbuilding Company of Japan a contract worth more than $1bn for theconstruction of up to four liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers. The contract isfor two carriers with an option for a further two, and the tankers willreportedly have a capacity of 135,000 cu. ms. each and cost $285mn each.
