Kuwait Oil Wells May Burn for Four to Five Years, Says Red Adair
The Houston-based fire-fighting expert, Red Adair told a US SenateEnvironmental Task Force meeting on 11 June that persistent equipment and watershortages in Kuwait could keep Kuwait's oil well fires burning for four to fiveyears. Mr. Adair pointed out that even if the Kuwait Government and itscontractors got serious about the situation, it still would take at least twoyears to get the job done....
