INA-Naftaplin Signs Agreement for Oil Concession East of Homs
The Yugoslav firm INA-Naftaplinhas signed an agreement for an oil and gas concession in an area of 4,000 sq.kms. (block 11) east of Homs. The agreement, which still requires the approvalof the Syrian People's Assembly (parliament), commits the company to drill atleast three wells in an initial exploration period of 3.5 years.
