US Warship And Oil Tanker Collide In The Gulf
A US Navy destroyer and a Japanese oil tanker collided on 12 August just outside the Strait of Hormuz, leaving a big hole in the side of the warship. The US Navy said the cause of the incident is under investigation and there were no reports of spills or leakages from either the USS Porter or the M/V Otowasan.
