Total Discovers Oil in Bishri Tract
Reports from Damascus indicate that Total Syria (a subsidiary of CFP/Total)has made an oil discovery at Wadi 'Ubaid in the Bishri concession area near Dairal-Zur in northeast Syria. The details of the discovery have not been releasedbut it is understood that Total is currently conducting tests on the well todetermine its commercial prospects.
