Developing Country Debts to Soviet Union Disclosed
Details of debts owing to the Soviet Union from developing countries havebeen published in a weekly Soviet economic magazine. The figures show that Syriaowes 6.74bn roubles ($11.3bn at the official rate), Iraq 3.79bn roubles($6.38mn), and Algeria 2.51bn roubles ($4.22mn).
